האמת: אנחנו נישו

"It was a weird sound. That's what I remember," she says, sipping her tea.

She and I share a love of tea that is beyond the usual human experience. I prefer my tea with lime, but lemon is great, too. Her smile is warm and her face is pleasant and comforting. You'd never know that Neglected is an angel of great task and importance. The conversation is pleasant, calm and loving, made more enjoyable by much tea with lime and lemon and consuming of said same tea with lime and lemon.

"Thanks for talking with me in the dream," I say.

"Of course," she says, sipping her.

I have spoken with angels before, but we usually don't talk about the fact that they're angels, nor do we speak about what they do. So, we enjoy our tea, quietly, looking at each other, completely comfortable.

"What happened?" she asks.

"Someone tried to destroy the tent while I was actually in the tent," I say, sipping tea. She makes a face, furrowing her brow.

"And, then there was a morning when I was packing the tent... There was a bullet casing outside the tent," I say, sipping my tea.

"What kinda bullet was it?" she says, sipping her tea.

"A 38?" I say, sipping my tea.

"You told, right?" she says, sipping her tea.

"Yeah," I say, sipping my tea. "And, then this crazy woman sliced the tent with a piece of broken glass," I say, sipping my tea.

"Did the police help you?" she says, sipping her tea.

"No," I say, sipping my tea.

We enjoy our tea, quietly, looking at each other, completely comfortable.

"Do you know who did that to you? The reason those things happened?" she says, sipping her tea.

"No," I say, sipping my tea.

We enjoy our tea, quietly, looking at each other, completely comfortable.

"Did it hurt?" I ask, sipping my tea.

She shakes her head and we see a small amount of blood emerge at her hairline near her ear. "It was a weird sound. That's what I remember," she says, sipping her tea.

Then, she looks deep into my eyes and I see the true her, wondrous and deep, and she says, "I didn't believe someone would do that to me and no one protected me. Get better friends," and then she gives me a most joyful smile with the sideways peace sign at her right eye, saying, "Cheese!"
